Using the Royal Gazette to Spread Fear
Demonstration of the use of fear as a royal governance in controlling people.

Pavin Chachavalpongpun, associate professor at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University, has compiled the complete list below, based on Royal Gazette announcements dated from 3 August 2016 to 31 August 2020, detailing the causes of dismissal, demotion, de-decoration, de-robing and imprisonment of each individual under the reign of King Vajiralongkorn. His study is to demonstrate the use of fear as a royal governance in controlling different types of people, from the political elites, courtiers, high- and low-level officials as well as monks.
