https://112watch.org/damaging-the-royal-portraits-cost-two-years-in-prison/A Thai man, Veha Sanchonchanasuk, has been changed with lese-majeste for criticising the court ruling against another 112 victim for the latter's role in defaming the monarchy. Veha criticised the court verdict against Narin Kulpongsathorn who has been charged with lese-majeste for placing a sticker bearing the name of an ant-monarchist group "กูKult" on the portrait of King Vajiralongkorn.
A royalist vigilante group filed a complaint with the police against Veha. Veha reportedly said that the act of Narin (placing a sticker on the royal portrait) deserved praise and commendation, and that if the palace did not want the royal portraits to be damaged, they should be all removed from the public sight. His criticism was interpreted as insulting against the court ruling and lese-majeste against King Vajiralongkorn. Moreover, there was a photo of Veha wearing a red shirt and blaแk trousers in front of a giant photo frame from which the portrait of the king was already removed.
