The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) to take place: November 10, 2021
The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) under the UN Human Rights Council on the Thai human rights situation will take place on November 10, 2021, from 9:00-12:30. Belgium, among some countries, has submitted a list of questions in advance for the Thai government.

One of the questions is directly related to Article 112. It reads: "Will the government of Thailand amend article 112 of the Criminal Code in order to bring it in conformity with article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, as Belgium recommended during the previous UPR?
Which measures will be taken to ensure that children can exercise their rights to freedom of expression and peaceful protest in conformity with the International Convention on the Rights of the Child?"
