"'Pride is a protest.' From my experience in participating in these gatherings, I saw that a key issue for the new generation was the demand for democracy, along with expanding discussions to address the problems related to sexual rights. These included marriage equality, gender recognition, free menstrual products, opposition to domestic violence, sexual consent, and "sex work is work." Through these issues, it became clear that we wanted a society that better understood and respected human rights."
