Pavin will visit three cities in the United States and one city in Canada.
Pavin Chachavalpongpun, founder of 112WATCH, will commence his advocacy tour in the United States and Canada, to promote the discussion of the reform of Article 112 and its impact on the human rights situations in Thailand. The focus of this is placed on the meetings the Thai communities and the American and Canadian academic circles. He will visit three cities in the United States (San Francisco, Portland and Seattle) and one city in Canada (Vancouver). Here are details –
The United States
- San Francisco
July 24, 2024: A meeting with the Thai community in San Francisco. The venue is at Home Plate Restaurant, 2150 Lombard Street. Pavin will also participate in a closed-door academic discussion on the Thai political situation at Stanford University. - Portland
July 25, 2024, A meeting with the Thai community in Portland. The venue is at Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine, Pearl District, 121 NW 9th Avenue, Portland. - Seattle
July 27, 2024: A meeting with the Thai community in Seattle. The venue is at Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen, 2316 NE 65th St Suite 101, Seattle.
Canada
- Vancouver
August 3, 2024, A meeting with the Thai community in Vancouver. The venue is a rented community hall at 480 Broughton St, Vancouver, BC V6G 3H4. - Pavin will also hold a discussion on the Thai human rights situation with academic colleagues of the University of British Columbia
