Buddhist novice monk pressed to leave monkhood once accused of lese-majeste
Saharat Sookkhamla, a 21-year-old Buddhist novice, was under pressure to leave the monkhood as he was accused of lese-majeste and will be charged under Article 112.

Saharat Sookkhamla actively participated in the protests at the beginning of 2021 calling for monarchy reforms. As he left the temple, he said, "I was suppressed by the state power."
